Sticking Out Like a Sore Thumb Has Never Been Easier!

After a grueling about 17 hours stuffed on a plane, we finally made it to Japan. The flight left my butt completely numb and a hate for screaming children on a plane, but alive. Once in the airport bathrooms, everyone clustered around to take pictures of the single traditional Japanese toilet and dare each other to try. No soul was brave enough yet to try.
We got to out hotel after midnight once we stopped a little store to buy some much needed food and drinks. The vending machines were fascinating and we weren't able to read anything-not that that stopped a couple kids from ordering burgers. I got these delicious little koalas filled with chocolate. They were almost to cute to eat, but hunger won out in the end.

After finally arriving at the hotel sometime after midnight, and then waking up at four-thirty in the morning thinking it was eight because it was so bring out, there hasn't been much sleeping going on. But even running on six hours or less of sleep, I'm wide awake. Japan is amazing! We visited the Meiji Shrine and the place was breath taking. It is in the middle of Tokyo but it does not seem like that at all. Its surround by a forest and its completely quiet. You don't want to talk in more then a whisper while you're there. We purified ourselves with water and then prayed inside the alter.

After that we went shopping in Harajuku for a little while. The fashion is amazing there. But since I have to get up again, I bid you a farewell.
